I began my stained glass work as a studio artist at the University of Montana Art Department. I earned my B.A. there and decided to change my focus from painting to stained glass as a career. My real glass education began when I accepted an apprenticeship with Bordeleau Glass in Sun Valley, Idaho. I was trained in the fabrication of large scale window panels. This education continued back in Missoula, Montana where I was an assistant fabricator for several large stained glass commissions for Rocky Mountain College, Billings, MT, State Medical Examiners Building, Anchorage, AK and Moses Lake Community College Library in Washington. With this extensive background in large scale stained glass fabrication and my own designs I set up my own glass studio. I recently furthered my glass education as a scholarship student at the Pilchuck Glass School outside of Seattle in 2004.
