“The Needle and the Loom ”
a collaborative show with Bonnie Tarses and Heidi Zielinski.

About the Show
Bonnie's most recent work takes her botanical weaving to the next level.  Eight strands of custom dyed fine silk, which Bonnie has lovingly collected over the past 40 years, are twisted together to create an ever-evolving complex regal yarn. Dried wheat, lavender and willow are strategically interspersed with surprising results.
 
Heidi’s work is a combination of collaborative pieces using Bonnie Tarses’ weavings which are incorporated into her art quilts, and her own work using an abstract collage style with machine and hand stitching and embellishment. Her stitched wall quilts are detailed, intimate and reflective of her fondness for color, cloth, nature and life in Western Montana.​

The Artists' Shop is Missoula's longest-operating artist-owned cooperative gallery in the heart of downtown Missoula, Montana. We specialize in local and regional handmade fine craft and art, carrying the work of over 70 area artists!

We believe in the power of art and craft to make enhance our lives. We show a wide variety of work by Montana master craftspeople in a wide variety of mediums and prices. Many of us take our inspiration from the beauty of Montana.
