Childhood for me was full of playing in the Blackfoot and Bitterroot rivers in Montana. In the warmer months, I explore wild and scenic rivers of the west and our Montana home equally dear to me, and then sit down to create from our adventures. I paint primarily from photographs I have taken but also depart from them if there is an idea or concept that catches my eye. The unbelievable beauty in our forests and deserts provide constant inspiration for new paintings. My hope is that my landscapes might evoke the same feeling of value, beauty and serenity the wild and scenic rivers of the west provide all of us.
I pride myself in fine craftsmanship and build quality wood backed frames for my work so they are easily shipped without damaging the pieces. I also spend many many months on original works to make sure they are just how I intend. I have many original pieces available at the Artists' Shop and Online for sale as well as specializes in limited edition, hand painted reproductions of all of my work. I hope everyone can enjoy these images as a reminder of the beautiful wilderness we are all privileged to explore. |
